U.S. Government Partners with Chainlink as Institutional Crypto Adoption Reaches New Milestones

Chainlink brings U.S. macroeconomic data onchain as the White House, SEC, and major financial institutions accelerate blockchain adoption through regulatory engagement and institutional-grade compliance certifications.

Government Data Goes Onchain

Chainlink and the United States Department of Commerce have worked together to bring U.S. government macroeconomic data onchain from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The data includes Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index, and Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers. The data is initially available across ten blockchain ecosystems including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Linea, Mantle, Optimism, and others.

Regulatory Engagement Reaches New Heights

Chainlink accelerated its engagement with U.S. regulators in 2025 through multiple channels. It held meetings with the SEC to address broker-dealer and transfer agency compliance using public blockchain infrastructure, which resulted in the SEC releasing interpretive guidance on the subject. Chainlink also engaged with the SEC Crypto Task Force on compliance frameworks. Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov met with Senator Tim Scott, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, to discuss the crypto market structure bill and how it would enable the blockchain industry to grow in the United States.

White House and GENIUS Act

The White House published a report from the President's Working Group on Digital Asset Markets that highlighted Chainlink as critical infrastructure for powering stablecoins, tokenized funds, and the onchain economy. The report underscored a growing global consensus that oracle infrastructure is critical for secure, interoperable, and compliance-ready digital assets. Separately, the GENIUS Act, a landmark U.S. law establishing a federal framework for stablecoins, was signed into law with Nazarov in attendance at the White House alongside senior government and digital asset leaders.

  • Chainlink worked with Blockchain Association to launch Tokenized in America, a first-of-its-kind scorecard tracking how all 50 states are engaging with blockchain technology and digital asset policy.
  • Chainlink engaged with the SEC to address three core unanswered questions on broker-dealer and transfer agency compliance, resulting in interpretive guidance from the commission.

Institutional Adoption Gains Momentum

Major financial institutions and market infrastructures have adopted Chainlink, including Swift, Euroclear, Fidelity International, UBS, and ANZ. The Chainlink platform features over 2,400 integrations with protocols such as Aave, Lido, Compound, and GMX. Chainlink Data Feeds have been used over the past half-decade to enable tens of trillions of dollars in transaction value.

Institutional-Grade Security and Compliance

Chainlink Labs achieved ISO 27001 certification, a globally recognized standard for information security management. The certification covers its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Data Feeds, including Price Feeds, SmartData Feeds, and Proof of Reserve. An independent auditor also completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination for Chainlink CCIP and Data Feeds, providing assurance regarding the design and operating effectiveness of controls related to security and confidentiality over an extended period.

These certifications validate that Chainlink Labs meets internationally recognized standards for information security, offering partners and clients confidence in the security, reliability, and confidentiality of its products.
